Effective date: 4 June 2026  ·  Reynholm Technologies Pty Ltd ABN 69 649 844 548  ·  Nerang QLD 4215

Digital Forensics Group is a division of Reynholm Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 69 649 844 548) ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in a responsible manner consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Privacy Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs") contained in Schedule 1 of that Act.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and protect it, and your rights in relation to it. Because the only information we collect through this website is what you voluntarily provide via our enquiry form, this policy is deliberately narrow in scope.

1. What Personal Information We Collect

When you submit an enquiry through our website contact form, we may collect the following information:

  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Matter type (e.g. domestic violence, family court, employer matter)
  • Device or platform details (if provided)
  • A description of your matter

We do not collect personal information from you by any other means through this website. We do not use cookies for tracking, do not run analytics that identify individual users, and do not embed third-party advertising or tracking scripts.

Sensitive information

The description of your matter may contain sensitive information within the meaning of the Privacy Act — for example, information relating to health, legal proceedings, or personal relationships. We treat all enquiry content as sensitive and apply the heightened obligations under APP 3 and APP 6 accordingly.

2. How We Collect It

We collect personal information only directly from you, and only when you voluntarily complete and submit the enquiry form on our website. We do not collect personal information from third parties, data brokers, or public sources.

3. Why We Collect It and How We Use It

We collect your personal information for the following primary purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry
  • To assess the nature and scope of your matter
  • To schedule a confidential consultation
  • To provide you with a fee estimate
  • To deliver forensic investigation services if you engage us

We will not use your personal information for any purpose that is unrelated to your enquiry or engagement without your express consent. We will not use your information for marketing purposes.

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.

We may disclose your personal information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Third-party services we use to operate our website or deliver communications (e.g. email hosting, form processing). These providers are contractually bound to keep your information confidential and to use it only for the purpose of providing services to us.
  • Legal obligations: If we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or regulatory authority, we will comply with that obligation. Where permitted, we will notify you before doing so.
  • With your consent: We may disclose your information for other purposes with your express consent.

We do not disclose personal information to overseas recipients unless you have consented or we are required to do so by law.

5. Storage and Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These steps include:

  • Storing form submissions in access-controlled systems
  • Using encrypted communications where technically available
  • Limiting access to personal information to the principal investigator only
  • Securely disposing of or de-identifying personal information when it is no longer needed

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us via this website.

6. Retention

We retain personal information from enquiry form submissions for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you engage our services, for the duration of the engagement and any legally required retention period thereafter.

Enquiries that do not result in an engagement are generally retained for a period of 12 months for business record purposes, after which they are securely deleted or de-identified.

7. Your Rights — Access and Correction

Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 9 below. We will respond to access and correction requests within 30 days. We do not charge a fee for access requests.

We may decline a request for access or correction in circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act, and will provide written reasons for any refusal.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs or otherwise mishandled your personal information, you may lodge a complaint with us in the first instance using the contact details below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
